# Moving an Arma 3 profile from Windows to Mac

Arma 3 doesn't sync profiles through Steam Cloud, so moving from Windows to macOS meant copying the files over by hand. Here's how:

1. On Windows, copy your profile folder. It's in one of these:
   - `Documents\Arma 3 - Other Profiles\<YourProfileName>\` for named profile
   - `Documents\Arma 3\` if you only use the default one
2. On the Mac, quit the game.
3. Open Finder, press `⇧⌘G` (**Go → Go to Folder**), then paste:
   ```
   ~/Library/Application Support/com.vpltd.Arma3/
   ```
4. Back up whatever is already in that folder.
5. Copy the Windows profile files in.
